Michael M. Pollock Jr. is a tax and estate planning attorney at Meurer & Potter, P.C., where he advises individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated wealth-transfer strategies, income-tax planning, and trust and estate administration. His practice integrates deep technical tax knowledge with practical, client-focused planning to achieve efficient, forward-looking results.
Before joining Meurer & Potter, Michael served as a Senior Attorney in the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Denver, where he litigated high-value tax controversies and advised exam teams on complex corporate transactions, partnership audits, and refund claims exceeding $40 million. His earlier private-practice experience at Friday, Eldredge & Clark LLP and Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP included representing high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses in mergers and acquisitions, multi-state tax matters, and estate and gift-tax planning.
Michael earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor of The Tax Lawyer, the American Bar Association’s flagship tax journal. He received his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, and his B.A. in History from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
Active in professional leadership, Michael has chaired the Arkansas Bar Association Tax Section and the ABA Young Lawyers Division Tax Committee, and is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. His published work on federal and state tax issues has appeared in Arkansas Business and Talk Business & Politics.
Michael is admitted to practice in Arkansas and Colorado, with admission to the State Bar of Texas pending.
